The Navajo saddle blanket has always been a prized item. Single and double saddle blankets (often with two designs) have been popular items for horsemen. Of unusual interest are the “Sunday Saddle Blankets” which were used for special fiestas and often woven from brightly colored Germantown yarns and displayed fringed tassels.
