Was designed in the early 1960’s as a presentation gift for a Santa Fe Opera board member. It features opera titles engraved on each of the 8 conchos. Titles are: Summer and Smoke, The Tales of Hoffmann, Maskarade, Madama Butterfly, The Crucible, Die Walkure, La Boheme, and A Village Romeo and Juliet.

Frank Patania Sr. (1899-1964) was born in Sicily, Italy, and arrived in the United States in the early 20th century. He opened The Thunderbird Shop in Santa Fe in 1927. Here he mentored Native American artisans in the craft of jewelry-making techniques and refined gemstone settings. His superb craftsmanship and designs have garnered worldwide acclaim, and his jewelry is extensively sought after by avid collectors.
